more自体は、much（量がたくさん）の比較級です。
more than~で「〜より多く」という意味で、
かたまりで使います。
more thanの後には、数字がきたり、人がきたり、文章がきたりします。
I spend more than $30.
「私は 使う $30より多く」
I spend more than you.
「私は 使う あなたより多く」
I spend more than I save.
「私は 使う 貯めるより多く」
spendは、「お金か時間を使う」という動詞です。
